Thumbies Fingerprint Jewelry

A Thumbies personalized print charm is such a unique and precious piece of jewelry, created from actual fingerprints, handprints, or footprints. Combining the wonders of modern scanning technology with the ancient technique of lost wax casting, the prints are fashioned into artistic and intricately detailed jewelry. These charms are truly the ultimate keepsake gift idea for a loved one – or for yourself! They are a touching way to remember a parent, spouse, sibling, child, or friend and to keep their memories alive and close to you in your everyday life.

The personalized print charms are available in sterling silver and 14K yellow gold. They are about the size of a dime. You may select a small birthstone or a diamond if desired to be included at the top of the charm (on the “bail” or hoop where it connects to a chain), adding elegance to each finished piece. You may purchase your charm with an 18-inch gold or silver chain with a high-quality lobster claw closure. You will have a chance to provide up to 2 lines of text engraving with up to 10 characters per line when you receive your ink print kit and send your prints in to our jewelry designers. The standard engraving is done on the back side of the charm in capital letters using an Arial font. A script font may also be requested.

Please Note: For a keepsake baby charm, we strongly recommend a baby footprint or handprint (babies don’t develop mature fingerprints until they are 3 years old). Please select a hand or foot print charm for babies and toddlers.

Our charm process is surprisingly easy. Select your preferred piece of jewelry and place your order. We’ll send you an Ink Print Kit to take capture the prints. If you are able to take your own ink prints on clean white paper, we can most likely work with your existing prints. And/or if you have access to a scanner, you can scan your prints (save as a jpeg file at 600 dpi) and e-mail them in to our jewelry designer. We will provide you with the e-mail address when you place your order. Just ask us for it. Once you send back the print, we will produce your personalized charm and return it to you in approximately 4 weeks.
