About the size of a dime, this unique fingerprint charm is created by using actual fingerprints from you or your loved one! A fingerprint charm is a precious piece of jewelry to be treasured forever - and one to be passed on to children and grandchildren. Seeing the lines and patterns in the prints invokes the essence of the person whose print was used - and they are brought lovingly to mind. Many people ask about the process about how our designers actually create the charms; essentially, the print you submit is digitized, a wax mold is then made from that digital image, and a silver charm is cast. It's an amazing process and allows for beautiful, high quality charms to be created - each one completely unique. If you have an ink print, or you're able to take an ink print, that's all you need to proceed. You may mail the original paper print(s) in or scan the print and email it to us at info@tearcatcher.com . When we receive your order and your print, we'll confirm it. The photo here shows the charm with a birthstone; however this is a choice. Personalized engraving on this standard custom charm is included in the cost of the charm (2 lines with up to 10 characters and spaces per line). If we can answer any questions, please let us know.
