Cooling Safari Hat Bandoo

This Safari Bandoo hat protects you from the sun and cools your head down. When soaked briefly in water, the hat’s special crystals transform into cooling gel. Cooling energy is produced with the water in the crystals naturally evaporates. So the Safari Bandoo is fantastic for wearing while hiking, biking, or gardening … when you want relief from the heat!

This light-weight headwear is designed to look like a “Safari” hat - it's light khaki in color - and features a soft crown with an oversized brim. It includes grommets for more top-of-the-head air flow and it has an adjustable draw cord to keep it snugly on your head during windy days. The hat is made of soft and comfortable material - 55% cotton and 45% linen. The cooling crystals are constructed into the hat band to create surround-the-head cooling performance. It is available in a “natural” off-white color in sizes S/M and L/XL. No refrigeration is necessary. Blubandoos hats and caps and neck ties are reusable and washable.

A few more details on hat sizing: the Safari Hatbandoo “small/medium” size usually fits a 7 to 7-1/4 hat size; the “large/extra large” size usually fits hat size 7-3/8 to 7-5/8. Safari Hatbandoos are oversized to allow for the cooling crystals to swell. By leaving it in water for a little more or less time, you can adjust the swelling of the band thus adjust the size. We suggest you check it occasionally as you are hydrating to create a perfect fit for you.
